Specialist Service — Radiator Repair

Damaged radiators, restored — not replaced.

Hail and transport damage flatten the fins of radiators and condensers, and the units lose cooling capacity. Until now the only fix was replacement: dismantling, draining and recycling fluids, new parts, time and money. PROCAR restores the affected units by hand, on site, back to their original condition — without a single replacement part.

The Problem

A dented radiator usually means a new radiator.

  • 01A new unit to buy and fit — on every affected vehicle
  • 02Vehicles blocked while replacement parts are sourced
  • 03Cooling and A/C circuits opened, drained and refilled
  • 04A factory-fitted component leaves the vehicle
  • 05Serviceable units scrapped for damage limited to the fins
The Method

A craft process, applied at project scale.

Our technicians work the core fin by fin, using a hand restoration method developed in the field. The damaged fins are realigned until the unit is back to its original condition.

Damage that goes beyond the fins may require replacement of the unit.

  • 01

    Original part retained

The factory-fitted unit stays in the vehicle. Nothing is swapped, nothing is re-ordered.

  • 02

    No replacement parts

The repair does not depend on parts availability or delivery dates.

  • 03

    Repaired in the vehicle

The unit stays installed and its circuits stay closed. The front bumper is removed only when necessary.

The Result

Same vehicle. Same unit. No new part.

The same cooling unit on the same vehicle from one of our on-site programs: damaged by hail, then repaired by hand.

Where It Applies

Built for volume events.

Two situations damage cooling units in volume. Both are handled inside the same PROCAR project structure.

Application 01

Hail events

For insurers, fleets, importers and dealer groups with stock hit by hail. Radiator repair runs alongside the body repair program.

  • Catastrophe response programs
  • Fleet & rental stock
  • Dealer & importer inventory
Application 02

Transport damage

For OEMs, logistics providers and vehicle compounds. Units damaged in transit are restored before delivery — at the compound, the port or the plant.

  • Port & compound operations
  • Pre-delivery rework
  • Plant & yard containment
How It Runs

Six steps, one project structure.

Radiator repair is delivered the way every PROCAR project is: planned, staffed and reported. Work stations are set up in line and lit for inspection, and capacity scales with the number of vehicles.

01
Assess
Affected vehicles are inspected and segmented: restorable or not.
02
Set up
Work stations, ramps and inspection lighting are installed on site.
03
Access
The cooling module is made accessible. The front bumper is removed only when necessary.
04
Restore
Technicians restore the fins by hand, unit by unit.
05
Verify
Each restored unit is checked under inspection light.
06
Release
Anything removed is refitted and the vehicle is released.
Why Restore

What changes when the part stays.

01

Replacement cost avoided

No new unit to purchase and no fitting operation per vehicle.

02

Delivered on site

The work comes to the vehicles. No transfers to a workshop.

03

Less waste

Units that can be restored are not scrapped.
